Here's everything you need to know before your session.

01. Before You Arrive

Choose your outfits

  • Choose clothing that makes you feel comfortable. When you're comfortable, it shows in your photos.

  • Coordinating colors work great without everyone having to wear the exact same thing.

  • Bring extra outfits if you'd like options, especially for little ones.

  • Feel free to send us outfit ideas or inspiration beforehand. We're happy to help!

Send us your inspo

  • If you have a Pinterest board, a favorite photo, a special pose you'd like to try, or an idea you've been dreaming about, send it our way. We’ll do our best to bring your vision to life!

02. What to bring

We encourage you to bring whatever it takes to make you and your family comfortable. We know getting the family out of the house is a big task, so we’ll also provide some comforts for you, including but not limited to:

  • Snacks and drinks: A little refreshment to keep everyone happy and hydrated.

  • A changing tent: Need to switch outfits? We've got you covered with a private space to change.

  • A relaxed approach: We won't expect perfection. We'll help guide you when needed and leave room for the candid moments, too.

  • A little flexibility: Kids get wiggly, moods change, and real life happens. We'll do our best to keep things comfortable and enjoyable.

Have a specific need or request? Let us know beforehand so we can plan for it!

03. What to Expect During Your Session

We'll start by getting comfortable. You don't need to know how to pose or what to do with your hands. We'll offer direction when it's helpful and give you room to interact naturally.

We'll follow the moment. Some of our favorite photos happen between the posed ones — the laughter, the hugs, the silly faces, and the little in-between moments.

Kids don't have to be perfect. We don't expect little ones to sit still and smile on command. We'll use conversation, play, and their interests to help them feel comfortable.

We'll capture a mix. Depending on your session, we'll work toward a mix of gently guided portraits and more natural moments.

Just be present with your people. We'll take care of the photos.

04. Payment Information

For now, we accept payment through Venmo.

Please submit your payment according to the arrangements confirmed when you booked your session. If you have any questions about your balance or payment, just reach out to us.

05. Your Session Waiver

Before your session, please take a moment to review and complete our client agreement and photo release.

The form gives you the opportunity to indicate whether you're comfortable with us using selected photos for our website or social media. Photo-sharing permission is optional.

The Final Checklist

Before your session, make sure you've:

  1. Completed your session waiver and photo release

  2. Reviewed your payment details

  3. Picked out your outfits and packed any extras

  4. Shared any inspiration or special requests

  5. Checked the session location and arrival details in your booking confirmation
